School Bytes secured $522,000 AUD, a second round of non-dilutive financing from Lighter Capital, at the end of December 2021 to kick off the new year strong. This brings total funding from Lighter Capital to $1.17 million AUD. With this recent capital, School Bytes will invest in product development to fast track the completion of new modules to continue its pace of quickly growing throughout Australian schools to provide an all-in-one solution for school administration.

Growing Traction
School Bytes was initially founded in 2015 by Blake Garrett via a high school competition. Garrett saw the labour intensive process of sending statements and collecting payments by mail and was determined to create a more efficient process for his school. He created a system to send digital statements in a matter of minutes. He began to think about how he could optimize his platform, developing options for split payments, flexible payment options and voluntary contributions.
